WATCH - Erskine Bowles: We Can Save Social Security and Medicare

Erskine Bowles, former Co-Chair of the 2010 National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and current Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget Board Member, delivered the keynote address at our Saving the Trust Funds: New Solutions for Social Security and Medicare event, hosted on October 22. 

In his speech, Bowles argued not only that we must act soon to save Social Security and Medicare but also – drawing from his experience co-chairing the 2010 fiscal commission and facilitating budget negotiations between President Bill Clinton and Speaker Newt Gingrich – that "we can get this done."
