Maya MacGuineas Participates in The Hill Panel on Tax Reform

Shortly before President Trump released his tax plan, Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget president Maya MacGuineas participated in The Hill's Newsmaker Series: Prospects for Tax Reform panel at the Newseum.

The event began with a one-on-one interview between Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and The Hill editor-in-chief Bob Cusack.

MacGuineas then joined Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Senior Fellow Jared Bernstein, PricewaterhouseCoopers Senior Policy Advisor and former House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp, American Bankers Association President and CEO Rob Nichols, and Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist in a spirited discussion about tax reform.

"If they really are focusing on growth – and I think that is the purpose – you want a plan that's paid for," said MacGuineas.
